Mercer County to offer free COVID-19 testing Friday, Nov. 6 at the CURE Arena in Trenton

Mercer County residents, first responders, and health care workers can get a free COVID-19 test on Friday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CURE Insurance Arena, which is located at 81 Hamilton Avenue in Trenton.

The saliva test is available to county residents 14 years or older and anyone employed as a first responder or health care worker in Mercer County. Residents going to the arena for testing should use Parking Lot 2 off South Broad Street to access Gate A. Testing will be conducted in the arena concourse. Bring identification proving your Mercer County residency and a smartphone or tablet if you have one. No prescription is necessary.

Testing will be limited to 250 people on Friday but additional pop-up testing sites will be scheduled around the county in the near future.

If you want to avoid the lines, Mercer County also offers an at-home saliva test for COVID-19 that can be requested by visiting www.mercercares.org.

If you need help with the online registration process, help will be available Friday at the arena. Test kits to collect the saliva specimen will be available at the arena Friday, officials said.
