Winter storm watch in effect for the Princeton region Wednesday and Thursday
A winter storm watch is in effect for Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Burlington, and Bucks counties Wednesday morning through Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, heavy snow of five inches or more is possible. Wind gusts as high as 30 miles per hour are also possible and the gusts could bring down trees and wires, causing power outages.
The snow could mix with sleet and rain, making driving dangerous. Travel could be very difficult, and the storm could impact the morning or evening commute.
Another storm is expected earlier in the week on Monday, but the impact will be minimal in the Princeton region, according to the National Weather Service.
