The Papery, a family-owned business with four locations in New Jersey, is closing down its Princeton store for good due to the economic impact of the pandemic. The shop is the latest business to shut down in the Princeton Shopping Center.

Gourmet food store and cafe Bon Appetit closed down in the fall. The New York Sports Club and One of a Kind Consignment at the shopping center closed down earlier in the year. All three spaces are vacant.

The Papery took over the space that was previously occupied by Jordan’s Stationery and Gifts. Jordan’s, a local favorite business for years, closed in June of 2016.

Founded in Shrewsbury, New Jersey 25 years ago, the Papery specializes in stationery and custom invitations and also sells gift wrap, greeting cards, and gifts. Other Papery locations include Summit and Sea Girt. The Princeton location currently is selling items for 50 percent off in preparation for the closing.
