Gas leak on Palmer Square East forces some workers to evacuate buildings
A contractor for a communications installation company who was doing work on Palmer Square East on Thursday struck a gas line near Winberie’s, causing a gas leak. Police said people should avoid the area of Palmer Square near Witherspoon Street due to the gas leak until the leak has been fixed. Some workers in the area near the gas leak had had to evacuate their buildings due to the leak.
