Warby Parker to open new eyewear store in Princeton this week

Warby Parker, the eyeglass brand that pioneered the direct-to-consumer, buy-one-give-one business model, will be opening a new store in Princeton on Saturday, July 17.
Based in New York, the company that was founded by four Wharton School graduates in 2010 is known for its modern and vintage-inspired eyewear with prescription lenses for $95, and the option to order frames by mail and try them on before buying glasses. In 2013, the company began opening brick-and-mortar stores and now has more than 150 retail locations in the United States and Canada. The name “Warby Parker” derives from two characters that appear in a journal by author Jack Kerouac.
Warby Parker’s Princeton location on Palmer Square is at 46 Nassau Street. The store will have a library theme, with open wooden shelving, hexagonal tables, and hardwood floors, and will feature artwork from New Jersey native Julia Rose Barnes, who will be creating a mural for the shop that depicts two readers with a backdrop of flowers, birds, and glasses.
