Lock up: Car thefts continue in West Windsor

Secure your garage doors and don’t leave your car doors unlocked

Police officers in West Windsor are actively investigating numerous car burglaries that took place overnight on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Thieves are stealing cars, and are also stealing items left in vehicles. Police in West Windsor said the burglaries are not isolated incidents in particular neighborhoods. The thefts are a township-wide problem. Multiple people are arriving at homes by car and rifling through vehicles or stealing them.

Police are asking residents to check their home video surveillance systems for anything that appeared suspicious or out of place on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Don’t leave keys in vehicles, lock your car and house doors, and secure your garage doors. Cars have been stolen in other neighboring towns in recent months. Everyone should get in the habit of locking car doors.
