Princeton League of Women Voters to host forums for District 16 and Princeton Board of Education candidates

Candidates for the New Jersey Assembly and Senate in Legislative District 16 that includes Princeton, South Brunswick, and parts of Hunterdon and Somerset counties will participate in a public forum on Wednesday, Sept. 22. Assembly candidates will speak at 7 p.m. and Senate candidates will speak at 8:30 p.m. The event will take place at Raritan Valley Community College at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg. Due to limited seating, the event will also be live-streamed at Facebook.com/PrincetonTelevision and rebroadcast. A recording will be posted at VOTE411.org and at lwvprinceton.org.

A virtual forum for candidates for the Princeton Board of Education will be live-streamed via Facebook.com/PrincetonTelevision on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. It will be rebroadcast, and a recording will be posted at VOTE11.org and lwvprinceton.org.

Voters can send questions for District 16 candidates and school board candidates to lwvprinceton@gmail.com.

The general election will be held on Nov. 2. You will not receive a vote-by-mail ballot unless you have requested one, and you may not deliver a completed vote-by-mail ballot to a polling place. You must mail your vote-by-mail ballots or place them in a special dropbox.

Early in-person voting will take place October 23-30 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit your county clerk’s website for early voting locations and to register (Oct. 12 postmark) or to apply for vote-by-mail ballots (application must be received by Oct. 26).
