Flash flood warning in effect for Princeton region until 7:30 p.m. Thursday (updated 5:35 p.m.)
A flash flood warning is in effect for Mercer, Southwestern Middlesex, Western Somerset, Northern Burlington, and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania until 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Rain of one to two inches has already fallen in some parts of the region and more rain is expected in the evening.
Flash flooding is ongoing in some areas or is expected to begin shortly in others.
In West Windsor, Washington Road has opened again at about 5:30 p.m. after being closed at the Tennis Center due to flooding.
In Montgomery, the traffic light at the intersection of Route 206 and Benjamin Boulevard is malfunctioning and is on flash due to the storm. The Benjamin Boulevard entrance to the Princeton Shopping Center is closed temporarily until the signal is fixed. Grandview Road is experiencing flooding near Hollow Road. As of 5:10 p.m., it was still passable. Avoid the area if you can.
