Winter storm watch for Princeton region begins Friday evening

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter storm watch for the Princeton region from Friday evening through Saturday evening.

Snowfall of four to nine inches is possible in some areas, and wind gusts as high as 40 miles per hour are possible. Snow is expected to begin Friday evening in Delmarva and Southern New Jersey, spreading northward overnight into Saturday morning. Snow may be heavy at times through the early afternoon before slowing down late in the day. Winds could cause blowing snow and low visibility at times.

Watches are issued when confidence is medium (50% or higher) that significant snow, sleet, or ice will occur, causing potentially significant impacts on travel.
