Water main break closes two lanes of Route 1 in South Brunswick
A water main break on Route 1 northbound near Route 522 in South Brunswick has caused two lanes of the highway to be closed while repairs are made. The two lanes are closed between Route 522 and Whispering Woods Boulevard. Only one lane is passable.
Police said repairs are expected to continue into Monday morning. Drivers are advised to expect a heavy merge and traffic delays. Avoid the area or take an alternate route if possible.
