Princeton area road work update for April 28
Road closures for Thursday, April 28
University Place between College Road and Alexander Street is closed due to scheduled road work until 3 p.m.
Hartley Avenue is closed between South Harrison Street and Longview Drive due to scheduled road work.
South Tulane Street between Nassau Street and 20 S. Tulane Street is closed until noon.
Moore Street is closed from Nassau Street to 6 Moore Street for utility pole installation work. The Park Place East Parking Yard and the St. Paul’s school and church are open. Access will be available from Park Place, Spruce Street or Wiggins Street.
Upcoming road closure in West Windsor:
Cranbury Road (County Route 615) between Rabbit Hill Road and the Millstone River bridge in West Windsor Township is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions,. Work is expected to begin Wednesday, May 4, and is expected to take about two weeks, weather permitting. Cranbury Road will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Access will be permitted for local residents and municipal and emergency vehicles. Motorists will be directed to use Princeton-Hightstown Road and Southfield Road
Chambers Street demolition work
In May, Chambers Street in Princeton will become a one-way street, allowing northbound traffic, as the demolition of the 20 Nassau Street building begins. The demolition project will take three months and the construction project overall will be completed in 20 months.
