Two lanes of Market Street eastbound in Trenton closed for emergency repairs
Two lanes on Market Street eastbound are closed for emergency bridge repairs to the Route 1 overpass in Trenton, officials from the New Jersey Department of Transportation announced at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, adding that drivers should expect delays during the evening commute.
A contractor will remove loose concrete on the overpass and make repairs.
The ramp from Market Street to Route/the Trenton Transit Center/S. Clinton Avenue north is not affected and remains open. All lanes of Route 1 also remain open as of 5 p.m., officials said.
Once work on the eastbound lanes is complete, Market Street westbound lanes will be closed for repairs to the overpass, officials said.
