Princeton superintendent: Driver wasn’t intentionally taking a video of girls’ cross country team members
The superintendent for the Princeton Public Schools sent an email to parents and students Tuesday informing them that an incident last week involving the girls’ cross country team has been resolved.
Police detectives identified the driver of a van who was recording cross country team members as they were running last week. Police said they determined that the driver was not intentionally taking a video of the team.
“We are pleased that this incident was resolved,” Superintendent Carol Kelley wrote in her email Tuesday, Sept. 13.
An email went out to parents and students last week warning them that a man in a gray van approached the varsity team on Mountain Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. He was driving slowly and began to record the girls. Police then investigated the incident.
