One driver in critical condition after Quakerbridge Road crash
Just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, a Trenton resident lost control of a vehicle while exiting Route 1 via the off-ramp north to Quakerbridge Road westbound. The driver drove over the curbed median and struck a vehicle that was being driven by a Princeton resident. The Princeton resident was traveling eastbound on Quakerbridge Road on the Quakerbridge Road Overpass for Route 1.
The Trenton driver sustained a severe head injury and had to be transported by a medical intensive care unit to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, which is a level-two trauma center. The driver is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, police said. The Princeton resident had minor injuries and declined to be transported to a hospital from the crash scene.
