Elderly man crashes into apartment building in Lawrence
A 72-year-old Bucks County man was hospitalized after he drove into an apartment building in Lawrence on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Police received several 911 calls about the crash just after 1:30 p.m. The apartment building is located on the 2600 block of Lawrence Road/Route 206.
Officers found the man unconscious and trapped inside his car. First responders extricated him from the vehicle and he was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
A staircase leading to second-floor apartments was damaged. Police helped residents evacuate the building. No one was injured. A building inspector for Lawrence Township was evaluating the extent of the damage to the building.
