More than 100 people headed to the MarketFair Mall in West Windsor on Friday night to camp out in the parking lot next to the Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) store as part of the company’s new Black Friday Campout. The event featured food trucks, entertainment, a rock climbing wall, games, and giveaways. The first 20 groups of campers were given free EMS camp sets. A spokesperson for EMS said the company hosted the campout as part of its quest to “take elitism out of being in the outdoors” and remind people there’s no wrong way to enjoy time outside – even if it means camping in a parking lot or their own driveway.
