Possible delays on Northeast Corridor train line on weekends due to maintenance and construction
Travelers who ride Amtrak and NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line could experience delays of about 20 minutes in each direction between New York and Newark on weekends until further notice.
The work will take place between 10 p.m. on Fridays and 5 a.m. on Mondays.
NJ Transit officials said the delays are due to Amtrak infrastructure maintenance and the construction of future improvements for the rail line. Future improvements include the new portal bridge.
