Princeton, some other area school districts will have delayed opening Wednesday
The Princeton Public Schools will have a 90-minute delayed opening on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
“We appreciate your patience as we navigate this current winter storm. The transportation and buildings/grounds crews have been working around the clock to clear the buses, parking lots, and sidewalks for a smooth opening tomorrow morning,” Acting Superintendent of Schools Kathie Foster Wrote. “We also want to recognize the Princeton Police Department who have been clearing and traveling the roads to make sure we have up-to-date information regarding safe travel conditions. Due to tonight’s deep freeze which may cause some wet surfaces to ice over, PPS will have a 90-minute delayed opening for all schools tomorrow, January 17th, 2024.”
Pre-kindergarten private providers will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Pre-kindergarten at Community Park, Johnson Park, and Riverside elementary schools will begin at 9:55 a.m.
Elementary schools will begin at 9:55 a.m.
Princeton Middle School will begin at 9:55 a.m.
Princeton High School will begin at 9:50 a.m.
Bus pick-up times will be 90 minutes later than usual. There may be delays due to road conditions.
West Windsor-Plainsboro Public Schools will also have a 90-minute delayed opening.
The Lawrence Public Schools will open two hours late.
At Princeton Day School, doors will open at 9:45 a.m. and classes will begin at 10 a.m. Upper School advisor check-in will also take place at 9:45 a.m.
