Three Monroe Township residents die in South Brunswick crash

Three senior citizens from Monroe Township died after their vehicle collided with a school bus on Route 130 in South Brunswick Wednesday evening.

Ellen Brotman, 86, Alba Olivencia, 87, and Wilson Olivencia, 90 all died as a result of their injuries. The three were in a 2011 Toyota Camry. The Camry was headed south on Route 130. The driver of the vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Stults Road. The Camry then crashed into a school bus that was traveling north on Route 130.

All three occupants of the Camry sustained serious injuries and later died of their injuries. The school bus driver was transported to Princeton Medical Center with minor injuries. The two children who were on the bus were 17 and 15. They were not injured and were picked up by their parents and brought home.

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the three people killed Wednesday night,” South Brunswick Police Chief Chief Raymond Hayducka said. “Our investigators will continue to work on the case to piece all the information together.”
