Winter storm warning in effect for Princeton region until 3 p.m. Tuesday
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter storm warning for Mercer, Middlesex, Western Monmouth, and Lower Bucks counties that is in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Just before 10 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service updated the expected snowfall in the Princeton area. Snowfall of four to eight inches is possible on Tuesday.
Heavy snow is possible during the morning commute, with snowfall of an inch per hour possible.
Wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour are possible.
“There is uncertainty regarding snow amounts and how efficiently the snow will accumulate on roads, given mild temperatures with precipitation starting as rain overnight,” according to the National Weather Service.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
