Lawrenceville resident injured in house fire on Princeton Pike
A resident of the 2300 block of Princeton Pike in Lawrenceville was injured on Saturday, Feb. 24 after his house caught on fire.
Just before 3:30 p.m., police received a 9-1-1 call reporting the house fire. Officers responded and saw flames coming from the rear of the home.
The resident and his two dogs were able to escape the home. The dogs were not injured, but the resident sustained moderate burns to his face and arms. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A portion of Princeton Pike was closed to traffic due to fire department operations.
The fire was placed under control at 4:17 p.m.
Area fire departments from Hamilton Township and Ewing Township assisted members of the Lawrence Township Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Lawrence Township Police Department, Lawrence Township Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office.
