One person killed, one injured seriously in early morning Brunswick Pike crash

A 50-year-old Trenton resident died just before 2 a.m. Thursday morning after a vehicle he was a passenger in crashed on Brunswick Pike at the Whitehead Road circle.

The 2003 Suzuki Vitara driven by Delva Jonas, 49, of Trenton, struck a utility pole and sustained heavy damage. Jonas suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Jean Pierre was riding in the front seat passenger seat when the vehicle hit the utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
