West Windsor teen dies after New Year’s Day crash in South Brunswick

A 15-year-old from West Windsor died in the New Year’s Day crash on Route 130 in South Brunswick, law enforcement officials said.

Just before 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, police responded to Route 130 South near Stults Road after receiving a report about a single-vehicle crash. They discovered a 1998 Buick had hit a utility pole. The vehicle was occupied by one adult and three people under the age of 18.

The front-seat passenger, a 15-year-old boy from West Windsor, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead

All the other occupants of the car suffered minor injuries and were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for evaluation.
