Frontier Airlines announces new nonstop service from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Myrtle Beach
Ultra-low fare carrier Frontier Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Trenton-Mercer Airport and Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina this summer, expanding its network to six destinations served nonstop from the New Jersey airport.
The new route will begin July 10 and operate twice weekly, the airline announced Tuesday. To celebrate the launch, Frontier, which brands itself as “America’s Greenest Airline”, is offering limited one-way fares starting at $49, excluding taxes and fees.
“We are thrilled to begin offering ultra-low fare travel between Trenton and Myrtle Beach, increasing the affordable options available to Trenton-area consumers looking for a sunny beach excursion this summer as well as to South Carolinians heading to the Mid-Atlantic,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines.
The addition reflects Frontier’s broader expansion strategy, as the airline seeks to position itself as a leader in accessible, budget-friendly domestic travel. The company has emphasized comfort and convenience in its latest routes, while maintaining a low-cost model that appeals to price-sensitive travelers.
“This new service supports our mission to bring The New Frontier to more travelers in more destinations, proving that affordable air travel can also offer unmatched comfort and convenience,” Flyr said.
Frontier Airlines has focused heavily on point-to-point routes that connect secondary airports to high-demand leisure destinations. Myrtle Beach, a popular East Coast vacation spot known for its beaches and golf courses, is a key draw for summer travelers in the Northeast.
For the promotional offer, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on May 12. Sale fares are valid for non-stop travel on select days of week, Jul. 7, 2025, through Aug. 18, 2025. A round-trip purchase is not required.
