Luxury goods retailer Hermès Paris slated to open a store on Palmer Square in Princeton

Luxury retailer Hermès Paris has signed a lease to open a store at 17 Palmer Square. The 6,155-square-foot store is expected to open in the fall of 2023.
Established in 1837, the French luxury goods manufacturer specializes in making leather goods, accessories, home furnishings, perfume, jewelry, watches, and ready-to-wear clothing. The family-owned company, which keeps the majority of its production in France through its 51 workshops and production sites, operates 306 stores in 45 countries and employs more than 16,600 people worldwide.
“We are thrilled that Hermès has selected Palmer Square as their next destination,” said Lori Rabon, vice president of Palmer Square. “Their high-quality product, social responsibility and long-standing commitment to the communities in which they operate will not only enhance the downtown Princeton experience but contribute to the overall character of the town.”

I find this sort of hilarious. Just what Princeton doesn’t need.
Hahaha, yeah right!
Excellent quality beautiful craft work. Will make a great addition to Palmer Square
I’ll never shop there, but what town couldn’t use a few more jobs and one less empty storefront? I hope they do well here.
Princeton is not Greenwich, CT; nevertheless, I wish Hermes well.
I didn’t think Princeton had a large enough median income for Hermès. Regardless good luck to Hermès.
Google their online site — you will be floored by the prices. Human greed personified. I give them a year.
