The Coalition for Peace Action will host a three-part Holiday Peace Gathering on Thursday, Dec. 18, in downtown Princeton.
The event begins with a Candlelight Vigil for Peace on Earth from 5 to 6 p.m. on the sidewalk along Nassau Street in front of Palmer Square. Battery-powered candles and pre-printed posters will be available, and participants may bring their own.
A Potluck for Peace will follow from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Assembly Room at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., across from Palmer Square. Dishes may be dropped off beginning at 4:30 p.m., but attendees are asked not to remain parked at the church so the lot remains available for church programs.
The evening concludes with a Peace Program from 7 to 8:30 p.m., also in the Assembly Room, featuring Music for Peace performed by David Brahinsky and Friends.
All portions of the event are free and open to the public. Attendees may join any or all parts of the gathering. RSVPs are requested at jnew@peacecoalition.org. More information is available at peacecoalition.org.
“We warmly welcome all those wanting to participate, whether or not they are CFPA members,” said CFPA Executive Director the Rev. Robert Moore. “Music is the soul of the peace movement, so come and have your soul nourished.”
