Bus Will Temporarily Replace Dinky For Off-Peak Service in Mid-July

New Jersey Transit passengers who want to travel between downtown Princeton and Princeton Junction will have to take a bus if they are making the trip during off-peak hours from July 11 through July 22.

Buses will replace all Dinky trains on those days from 9:25 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. The shuttle buses will depart from locations near the rail platform, following the train schedule as closely as possible.

Rail service will resume with the 3:28 p.m. Dinky from Princeton Junction and the 3:44 p.m. Dinky from Princeton.

Normal service will operate during weekday peak commuting times.

According to NJ Transit, the Dinky must be taken out of service so that personnel can perform maintenance work on the overhead power lines, track and other components of the line.
