Princeton Borough Police Blotter: Domestic Violence Incident on Christmas Day, DWI

A Princeton Borough resident was charged with simple assault and harassment after he pushed a woman’s head into a car window in a domestic violence incident early Christmas morning. Jesse Carter, 30, of John Street allegedly slammed a woman’s head into the front passenger side window of his car while she was seated in the passenger seat just after 1:30 a.m. Dec. 25. The victim, whose name is being withheld, suffered a contusion to her forehead. Carter’s bail was set at $2,500. He was released and his court date is set for Jan. 3. He also had an active warrant with the Lawrence Municipal Court for $120 for a careless driving summons.

A Princeton Junction resident was charged with driving while intoxicated just before 6:30 p.m. on Dec 23. Anne Bakoulis, 47, of Scott Avenue  was driving along University Place when a driver behind her noticed her erratic driving, suspected she was drunk and called police headquarters. Bakoulis allegedly failed to keep right and struck a curb while driving. After police stopped her she was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
