Government, School, Transit and Princeton Area Event Cancellations (Updated 10:38 p.m. Sunday)
Transit & Travel
NJ Transit will begin a gradual system-wide shutdown of all bus, rail, light rail and Access Link starting at 4 p.m. and continuing through 2 a.m. Northeast Corridor Train 7885 will be the last train departing New York, leaving at 11:14 p.m., and arriving in Trenton at 12:44 a.m. Train 7876 will be the last train departing Trenton, leaving at 10:59 p.m. and arriving New York at 12:30 a.m. All NJ TRANSIT bus service to and from Atlantic City will be suspended at midnight. All other NJ TRANSIT bus service will be suspended effective 2 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2012. NJ TRANSIT buses that are already en route at 2 a.m. will complete their trips.
Path trains will stop running at 12:01 a.m. Monday and will not run until further notice.
Amtrak northeast corridor service suspended for Monday.
SEPTA service suspended for Monday.
In NYC, the MTA will shut down starting at 7 p.m. tonight.
Philadelphia International Airport has canceled all outgoing and incoming flights.
Government
All State of NJ offices will be closed Monday. Only essential state employees will report for work.
All Motor Vehicle offices and inspection stations will be closed Monday.
All NJ courts will be closed Monday.
Mercer County offices and courts will be closed Monday.
Princeton Borough and Princeton Tonwship municipal offices closed Monday.
Lawrence has declared a state of emergency and has banned driving as of 6 p.m. Sunday. Lawrence Township offices will be closed Monday.
Colleges and Universities
Princeton University will be closed Monday for all non-essential employees. All university libraries will be closed and all campus events are canceled. A decision will be made Monday on whether the campus remains closed Tuesday.
Princeton Theological Seminary is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Mercer County Community College will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
The College of New Jersey is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Rider University is closed Monday and Tuesday (including Westminster Choir College).
Rutgers New Brunswick, Piscataway and Camden classes canceled for Monday and Tuesday. Staff still must report to work so far and departments will be open (we expect this to change.)
All classes cancelled and U. Penn operations are suspended for Mon. & Tues.
Public Schools
Princeton, South Brunswick, Montgomery, Hopewell, Lawrence, Ewing, Trenton, East Windsor/Hightstown, Hamilton and West Windsor Plainsboro public schools closed Monday and Tuesday.

The Coalition for Peace Action has canceled Dr. Helen Caldicott’s visits to Newtown and Philadelphia tonight.
Princeton Center for Yoga & Health has canceled Sunday evening and Monday classes. They will decide on Tuesday’s classes on Monday morning pending storm status. The Lageder Wine Dinner at Eno Terra originally scheduled for October 29th has been rescheduled to November 28th, 6-9 p.m.

Jewish Family and Childrens’ Services luncheon scheduled for Tuesday the 30th has been rescheduled for December 5th.
All Princeton Adult School classes canceled. The Princeton Adult School class “The Many Faces of Islam” scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30 has been rescheduled for December 18.
Tuesday night jazz at Witherspoon Grill cancelled.
Womanspace Communities of Light Launch will is being cancelled for this Tuesday, October 30th due to the dangerous weather conditions.
