Trenton Half Marathon T-Shirt Sale Benefits Boston Charity
The organizers of the Trenton Half Marathon are showing their solidarity with Boston by selling t-shirts that will benefit a charity created to help people affected by the April 15 bombings.
“In light of the tragic events that took place at the Boston Marathon this week, we at the Trenton Half wanted to do our part to help,” organizers explained on the home page of the Trenton Half Marathon website. “Everyone wanted to do something and we we felt that coming together with a shirt to help recognize those affected was the best way we can do our part.”
Proceeds from the t-shirt sale will benefit OneFundBoston.org, a charity formed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino to help the people most affected by the bombings.
