Princeton’s Health Officer Accepts New Position
The health officer for the town of Princeton has turned in his resignation and his last day on the job will be Sept. 6.
David Henry, who has been the health officer for Princeton for nine years, has accepted a position with the Monmouth Regional Health Commission.
“I will miss my wonderful staff, colleagues, fantastic board of health and the people of Princeton,” Henry wrote in an email about his new position. “This has been my best job to date.”
The health department conducts inspections of restaurants, pools, and other facilities to ensure proper sanitation, and investigates public health nuisance complaints such as trash or rodents. It also issues birth, death and marriage licenses, provides health clinics for children, and health promotion programs for all ages.
