Body Found on Spring Street in Downtown Princeton This Morning

Police found a dead body on Spring Street around 6 a.m. this morning during a routine patrol, Police Capt. Nick Sutter has confirmed. It appears the person, a male in his early 20s, jumped off the roof of the Spring Street Garage and committed suicide, Sutter said. Police are still seeking details.

The person’s car was found in the garage but no note was found at the scene. Video footage of the garage shows that the man entered the garage alone. Police are expected to release more information about the person’s identity Wednesday.

Many people assumed the person was a Princeton University student, but the person was a Princeton native who had attended secondary school in Princeton, police sources said.
