A man was struck and killed after he leaned into the path of a  train at the New Brunswick station late this afternoon.

Three other people were injured after they were hit by the man’s flying body parts. They were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A fourth person was struck but refused medical attention.

The NJ Transit train was headed for Penn Station just before 5 p.m. today when it struck the man, who was not on the tracks.

Following the accident,  train service was suspended between Penn Station and Trenton. Service resumed around 6:15 p.m. with delays.
