Two Women Arrested for Prostitution in Lawrence, $8,300 Seized
Two women who worked at a spa in Lawrence have been charged with engaging in prostitution, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office announced today.
The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force concluded a month-long undercover investigation last week with the execution of search warrants at the JJ Massage Therapy & Spa located at 3231 Brunswick Pike.
During the course of investigation, undercover officers allegedly were solicited for sex by women working at the spa. On Friday, Aug. 22, officers executed search warrants at the premises and arrested the owner, Yuzhen “Lena” Li. Another female, identified as Yudan “Sunny” Li, was also taken into custody. Officers seized $8,326 from the spa along with condoms, bank records and paperwork.
Yuzhen Li,51, and Yudan Li, 44, both from Flushing, New York, were charged with promoting prostitution and engaging in prostitution, a disorderly persons offense. They were released on a summons pending future court proceedings.
