Driver Charged in Princeton School Bus Accident
Princeton Police have charged the driver who hit a school bus on Route 206 Tuesday.
Justin Thomas, 26, of Morris Plains, was charged today with one count of careless driving and one count of failure to keep right.
Thomas was traveling north on Route 206 at about 2:48 p.m. when he crossed the center line while trying to negotiate the curved roadway just past Hutchinson Drive, police said. He struck a small school bus that was traveling south. The impact caused the school bus to flip onto its right side and the BMW to spin around.
Thomas, the bus driver, a student, and an aide were injured in the crash. They all had to be taken to area hospitals to be treated for injuries.
