Princeton Man, 95, Killed in Plainsboro Crash Sunday

plainsboropoliceA 95-year-old Princeton man was killed and his wife and son were seriously injured in a one-car accident in Plainsboro on Sunday afternoon.

Jovi Tenev, 62, of West Windsor was driving a silver 2005 Toyota Camry on Mapleton Road Around 2:30 p.m. Sunday with his parents, both Princeton residents. His mother, Helena Tenev, 90, was sitting in the front passenger seat. His father, George Tenev, 95, was sitting in the back seat passenger side.
The car left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree, police said.

Driver Jovi Tenev was airlifted to Capital Health Regional Center with life-threatening injuries. Helena Tenev was taken by ambulance to the same hospital with life-threatening injuries. George Tenev was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Mapleton Road was closed for about five hours. The accident remains under investigation.
