Portion of Quaker Road in Princeton to Be Closed Weekdays Starting Thursday, March 10

Guide rail work on Quaker Road is scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 10th, weather permitting.

The guide rail along the section of Quaker Road between the D&R Canal bridge and the new Mercer County bridge will be replaced.

While this work is taking place, Quaker Road will be closed to through traffic from Province Line Road to Mercer Road between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each work day.

The work will take about four to five days to complete. No work will be done on the weekends and the road will be open on weekends.

In the event of inclement weather, work will stop and will be continued the following work day.

Provisions will be made for continued services such as brush collection, mail delivery, garbage, recycling pick-up and school buses.

The road will be reopened to through traffic at the end of
each work day and will remain open until the start of next work day.

Is this the section of guard rail which has been replaced several times in the last few years and is flattened within a week by trucks making the right turn after the bridge over the canal?
