Thomas Stella of Plainsboro was awarded the 2016 Jack Rutledge Cup at the Princeton Special Sports annual BBQ June 26. Thomas is the son of Andrea and Princeton Special Sports Coach Ricardo Stella, and the brother of Coach Ricky Stella. The cup is awarded once a year to the player who has demonstrated the extraordinary determination and sportsmanship exemplified by Princeton Special Sports player Jack Rutledge, who lost his battle with leukemia in 2008. Princeton Special Sports provides sports and social programs for kids and adults with special needs.
