Photos: Anchor House Ride for Runaways Send Off

The 177 cyclists and 29 support crew members participating in the 38th annual Anchor House Ride for Runaways headed to Manchester, New Hampshire Saturday after an early morning send-off at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton. The cyclists begin their 500-mile journey back to Trenton Sunday. They will pedal 66 miles to Leominster, Mass., crossing the Merrimack River and climbing 3,621 feet.

The Ride for Runaways raises money for Anchor House, the only emergency shelter for kids and teens in Mercer County. For more information about the Ride of runaways or to make a donation, visit Anchorhouseride.org.

  1. This seems like such a good idea that I am going to start a similar event: a Run for the Rideaways to raise money for my new facility, The Rudder Shack, named for its ability to give direction to aimless youth. What think?
