Princeton Open Space Group Seeks Volunteers to Help Clean Up Trails
The Friends of Princeton Open Space and the Princeton Environmental Commission are working this summer to rejuvenate the trails at the Woodfield Reservation.
Work began on the Woodfield project on June 25. Thirteen volunteers have worked 10 days and donated 141 labor hours to date. About 1,000 feet of trail has been cleared. Lumber has been moved for the construction of 210 linear of boardwalk and three bridges, 180 linear feet of boardwalk has been installed, and three bridges have been built.
Community members interested in helping can email info@fopos.org or call (609) 921-2772. The project is made possible thanks to a $1,500 grant from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions and support from the Hamilton Building Supply Company.
