Actress Alysia Reiner, producer of the new film “Equity,” will participate in a question and answer session about the movie with Princeton resident and co-producer Barbara Byrne as part of a special screening at the Garden Theatre in downtown Princeton on Aug. 28. The film will be shown at 7 p.m.
Reiner is best known for her roles as Christine Ergarian in the critically acclaimed comedy-drama film “Sideways,” as Wendy Parks in the ABC crime-legal drama TV series “How to Get Away with Murder,” and as Natalie “Fig” Figueroa in the Netflix comedy drama series “Orange Is the New Black.”
Byrne is the vice chairman of banking at Barclays in New York City. She is chairman of both Barclays Americas Citizenship Council and Barclays Social Innovation Facility.
“Equity” is the latest movie from director Meera Menon. Filmed in Philadelphia, the movie is a female-driven Wall Street drama starring Reiner, Emmy-winning Anna Gunn, and Sarah Megan Thomas.
A senior investment banker is involved in a financial scandal and must confront the web of corruption that surrounds her company.
Tickets for the screening and discussion will be available for purchase at the Princeton Garden Theatre and on the Garden’s website (beginning Aug. 22) at www.princetongardentheatre.org.
