Costco Opens in Lawrence

Mercer County now has a Costco members-only warehouse. The new store opened today, Aug. 25, on Quakerbridge Road in Lawrence.
The 156,000-square-foot store includes a pharmacy, an optician, a tire center and a gas station. The property has more than 700 parking spaces, and the store employs about 200 people.
The company had been planning to open a store in the area for several years. When the Kmart closed at the Mercer Mall more than a decade ago, Costco originally looked at opening a store there, but the deal fell through and KMart was replaced by a ShopRite.

Costco is a multi-billion dollar global retailer with warehouse club operations in eight countries. It is the largest membership-only warehouse club in the country. The company, which is based in Washington State, opened its first warehouse store in Seattle in 1983. As of July, Costco had 705 warehouses across the United States.

Costco is awesome. I hope a traffic light will be implemented at the corner of Quaker bridge Rd & Lawrence Station Rd (608).
Giant teddy bears sell at Costco for 40%less than on Amazon – $30 va $50 but who wants to ship a giant teddy to a grand kid?
Whenever I travel, I check out if there’s a Costco nearby. Costco is the BEST!
