Train Crashes in Hoboken, One Dead

A New Jersey Transit train crashed into a platform in Hoboken during rush-hour Thursday morning, killing one person and injuring more than a hundred others.

Several passengers reportedly are trapped in the train, which plowed through the end of the track.

Images posted on social media show severe structural damage at the terminal. Part of the terminal roof appears to have collapsed.

All PATH service at the Hoboken station is suspended, and all Hudson Bergen Light Rail service in and out of the Hoboken terminal is suspended.

The NY Waterway ferry is accepting rail tickets and passes, and New Jersey Transit buses and private bus carriers are honoring New Jersey Transit rail tickets and passes.

NJ Transit has established a Family Reunification Center at:
20 Caven Point Ave, Jersey City. A Crisis Hotline number has been established by NJ Transit (855-336-1774).

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
