Sussman Brothers’ Spouses Give Birth Less Than an Hour Apart
Nikol (Reisman) Sussman and Kimberly (Brudner) Sussman were close friends growing up and all throughout high school in Manalapan.
The best friends later met and married two brothers from the Princeton area, Jeffrey Sussman and Scott Sussman, the hotel and marketing director for the Peacock Inn.
Now the two best friends are sharing another major life experience together. Both women got pregnant around the same time, and both had their first babies together on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.
Nikol and her husband, Jeffrey, were expecting their baby any day. Kim and her husband, Scott, were expecting an arrival later in the month. On Monday, they were all gathered for dinner at soon-to-be Grandma Sussman’s house, enjoying her famous meatloaf.
The next day, both Nikol and Kim went into labor and arrived at the hospital around the same time. Kim gave birth first, at 5:04 p.m., to a boy, Tyler Levi Sussman. Nikol followed at 5:52 p.m., delivering a daughter, Charlotte Ava Sussman.
Both babies are healthy, happy and surrounded by family today in the Center for Maternal and Newborn Care at the hospital, officials said.
The running joke in the family is that mom’s meatloaf inspired the dual deliveries. The meatloaf is reported to be very good, but there has been no word on any special ingredients baked in.
