Route 295 Work Slated to Begin on Saturday

The New Jersey Department of Transportation announced today that the start of work to replace the Exit 67 ramp deck from I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound to Route 1 in Lawrence Township will begin this Saturday, Jan. 14..

Work was scheduled to begin earlier this month but was postponed due to the weather.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, the Exit 67 ramp from I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound to Route 1 will be closed. The ramp to Route 1 northbound will reopen Saturday evening. The ramp to Route 1 southbound will remain closed for about eight weeks.

Workers will demolish and replace the ramp deck leading to Route 1 southbound.

Motorists on I-95 northbound/I-295 southbound attempting to use Exit 67 will be detoured to Exit 65A then directed onto I-295 northbound, where they will use Exit 67B to access Route 1.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors, officials said.
