Teacher’s aide charged with sexually assaulting special needs student in Montgomery
An aide at a school for students with special needs in Montgomery has been charged with criminal sexual assault, witness tampering, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Daniel Fowler, 35, of Lawrence, was arrested after an investigation by Montgomery detectives determined that he engaged in sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl while he was working as a teacher’s aide at East Mountain School, which is part of the Carrier Clinic in Bell Mead.
Fowler had been communicating with the student through a mobile phone app before allegedly sexually assaulting her. The communications between Fowler and the student were of a sexual nature, according to the law enforcement officials.
