Local events and drop off locations for hurricane relief

At three locations in Princeton

The JM Group’s relief benefit will take place Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 at Witherspoon Grill, the Blue Point Grill, and Nassau Street Seafood in downtown Princeton.The Blue Point Grill and Witherspoon Grill will be offering special fixed price menus, and Nassau Street Seafood will be offering a special meal. All proceeds from the event will be donated to four organizations to help people recover from recent natural disasters — Unidos Por Puerto Rico, the Houston Food Bank, Techo and the SOS Foundation.

15th Legislative District Donation Drive

The donation drive, which is being conducted in partnership with municipalities of the 15th legislative district, as well as the Puerto Rican Parade of Trenton and the New Jersey Governor’s Office of Volunteerism, will take place through Friday, Oct. 27. The following items are being collected: cleaning supplies, diapers, new underwear and socks, toiletries (shampoo, soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes, hand sanitizer), flash lights, feminine hygiene products, batteries, and first aid items. Residents and businesses can drop off items at the following locations during business hours:
