Princeton Police arrest suspect in June groping incident
Police announced on Wednesday that they have arrested a suspect in the June 16 groping incident that took place on Witherspoon Street in Princeton.
Princeton resident Alonzo Lopez-Gomez, 32, allegedly grabbed a 16-year-old girl from behind.
After an investigation by detectives, Lopez-Gomez was arrested on July 1. He was charged with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a minor. He was processed and transported to the Mercer County Correctional Facility.
There are several open criminal sexual contact cases. It is unclear whether they could be related to this case. The detective bureau is still investigating.
