Clean Air Council will hold public hearing on air quality at ports and airports Thursday

The New Jersey Clean Air Council will hold a virtual public hearing at 9:20 a.m. on July 30 to discuss strategies to improve air quality near ports and airports. Airport activities have measurable impacts on air quality in the communities where the airports are located.

Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Catherine McCabe will deliver opening remarks to kick off the meeting.

Topics covered during the hearing will include community engagement, decarbonization plans, air toxics mitigation strategies, and funding.

The state recently announced plans to develop a more than 200-acre seaport for offshore wind projects in New Jersey and throughout the mid-Atlantic.

The hearing will be held virtually.  To join, click the link Join Microsoft Teams Meeting, or dial in at +1 856-338-7074, Conference ID: 476 972 785#.
