Princeton Wawa closed due to employee COVID-19 case
The Princeton Wawa, the only 24-hour convenience store in town, is closed after an employee who recently worked in the store tested positive for COVID-19.
In a notice posted at the Wawa store entrance, the company indicates that the employee who tested positive for COVID-19 was last working in the store next to the Dinky Train Station on Alexander Street on Nov. 6.
The Princeton store is being professionally cleaned and disinfected during the closure. “The store will reopen as soon as possible with associates from neighboring stores, if needed,” reads the notice.
Some other Wawa stores in the region, including a store in Red Bank and one in Bucks County, have also experienced temporary closures after employees tested positive for the virus.
